This blog has several purposes; primarily, it is intended for students to post their reactions to works studied in the form of Reader's Response Journals (RRJ's). Another important function is to facilitate communication between teacher, students, and parents. Parents, please feel free to post me a message whenever you like.
My first teaching assignment was in Riyadh, Saudia Arabia in 1977, teaching English as a foreign language. When I returned to the U.S., I began teaching French and English in Bladen County, North Carolina, where I taught for eighteen years at Bladenboro High School. In 1997 I moved back to the Gulf Coast, specifically to Louisiana, where I have been teaching at John Ehret High School for the last fourteen years. I love teaching world literature, especially French literature. At present, I am teaching IB English A1 which is a two-year college-level course. I really love the challenge!
